In a recent sheriff-led eviction, authorities made a heartbreaking discovery: a severely neglected dog struggling for survival.
For years, this dog had been cruelly restrained with a rope around its neck, left to suffer in harsh weather. Its condition was alarming, with a weight of just 35 pounds when it should have been a healthy 70.
The poor animal was covered in dried blood, infested with fleas, and had its ears clogged with filth.

The dog’s frailty was evident as it stood trembling, barely able to support itself. Its gums were pale, almost white, suggesting severe anemia or other health issues.
Additionally, the dog began urinating blood, a sign of a potentially critical illness requiring immediate veterinary intervention.
A thorough medical examination uncovered multiple health problems, including heartworm, severe anemia, elevated white blood cell count, low protein levels, high potassium, and a serious urinary tract infection.

Despite its dire condition, this courageous dog—now named Justice—displayed a remarkable spirit. In the midst of suffering, it managed a small, determined wag of its tail, a gesture rich with hope and the will to persevere.
Justice has recently shown positive signs of recovery. He took a tentative yet hopeful short walk, managing to stay on his feet for nearly 10 minutes, even though his legs still trembled.

His resilient nature is apparent as he begins to enjoy life again, showing a particular fondness for playing with stuffed toys.
Justice is on the mend and searching for a forever home. If you’re seeking a brave companion who has overcome incredible odds, Justice could be the perfect addition to your family.
