They also identified other health issues. The pup, whom they named Anita, suffered from high sugar levels, a hernia, and severe mange. Although surgery was postponed due to her fragile state, the veterinary team started her on the medications she needed, aiming to boost her overall well-being.
Anita then found comfort in a foster home where love and care were abundant. It was there that her new family realized she had been navigating her world without sight, relying solely on her keen sense of smell.
Motivated by her resilience, Anita’s rescuers were determined to give her the best life possible. After just two weeks of dedicated care, Anita was prepared for her surgery. The procedure went flawlessly, bringing immense joy to everyone involved.
Today, Anita thrives with a family that cherishes her dearly. She spends her days relishing in playful adventures, cozy naps, and delicious meals, leaving her troubled past far behind as she blossoms into the vibrant dog she was meant to be.
