In a surprising turn of events in Lexington, Kentucky, animal control officers were called to an unusual scene—a Husky was discovered wedged in a sewer drain.
The bizarre situation left officers puzzled, as it was hard to imagine how the large dog fit into such a cramped space.
The phone lines were buzzing with calls about the canine, prompting a swift response from the officers. When they arrived, they were greeted by the curious sight of a furry snout sticking out from the concrete.
“We don’t know how he got in there,” a representative from Lexington-Fayette Animal Care & Control mentioned to The Dodo, speculating that the dog likely ventured through a drain pipe and couldn’t retrace his steps.

While the situation was peculiar, the officers had to focus on safely freeing the dog, dubbed Sebastian. To their relief, Sebastian appeared perfectly fine, displaying a cheerful demeanor despite his predicament.
In a light-hearted post on Facebook, Lexington-Fayette Animal Care & Control joked, “Sebastian always wanted to meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but instead met a couple of our officers!”
The team quickly lifted a drain cover, allowing Sebastian to wriggle out, acting as though his little adventure was all in a day’s fun.
“Sebastian enjoyed his rescue and seemed to have quite the time,” the representative conveyed to The Dodo. Apparently, Sebastian wouldn’t mind a repeat of his escapade.
After his daring escape, Animal Care & Control reached out to Sebastian’s family, who had been frantically worried about their lost pet. Their relief was palpable upon learning that he was safe.
Meanwhile, Sebastian was busy soaking up attention and making friends, unconcerned by the trouble he caused.

“Spunky Sebastian is now safe at our facility and eagerly awaiting his owners’ arrival,” read an enthusiastic post from the organization on Facebook.
Sebastian was soon joyfully reunited with his father, a moment captured in a photo showing a teary-eyed father and a beaming Sebastian.
Despite his mischief, it was hard to stay upset with the Husky. His infectious smile was heartwarming, leading the animal care team to conclude with, “We love happy endings!”
