A rescue team recently shared a series of photos depicting their mission to save a small dog from a dire situation. The team found the dog tethered on a narrow, trash-filled road, highlighting the poor conditions in which he had been living.
One member of the rescue team expressed their emotions during the discovery, saying, “There are really no words to describe how I felt at that moment!
The dog is adorable. There’s his poop here, which proves he’s been chained here for days!”
Once the team freed the dog from his chain, they named him Armor and immediately transported him to a veterinarian due to his deteriorating health.
At the clinic, the veterinarians assessed Armor’s condition, noting severe dehydration, weakness, fungal infections, and scabies.
They began prompt treatment, helping to rehydrate and nourish him, which was crucial as Armor was severely weakened.
Within a week, Armor showed promising signs of recovery. With a proper wash and medication for his skin issues, he began to regain his strength and social demeanor.
Although it was uncertain if Armor had fully recovered from his past experiences, he was able to start feeding himself again, compensating for the time he endured near starvation.
In a photo taken over a month after his rescue, Armor appeared transformed, a testament to his recovery. His journey took another positive turn when he was adopted following the rescue team’s efforts to share his story.
After two months in his new home, the once-struggling pup thrived and grew into a healthy adult dog.
Reflecting on Armor’s remarkable progression, one can only wish him continued happiness and fulfillment in his new chapter.
